The SLMR Series opens on May 6 at Denison, Iowa

The Malvernbank.com SLMR Series will kick off its 2016 racing season at the Crawford County Speedway in Denison, Iowa on Friday, May 6. It will be the first of 19 scheduled races the series will run this year. The series then moves to the Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, Nebraska on Saturday, May 14.

In addition to the regular staple of SLMR tracks the series has added a new track for 2016 , the I-35 Speedway in Winston, Missouri. The series will visit I-35 on Saturday, June 11.

This year with additional funding provided by Malvern Trust and Saving Bank, the standard SLMR purse has been increased to nearly $11,000 for a 20 car feature and pays $1,200 to win, $1,300 for second, $1,000 for third and $325 just to start the feature.

A significant number of contingency sponsors have also helped to provide the drivers with additional support through gift cars or contingency certificates. 2016 series sponsors include: the Malvern Trust & Savings Bank, Action Signs/Speedway Graphics.
