Meet the Malvern Bank Series Drivers – Tad Pospisil

Malvern Bank Super Late Model driver profiles for 2018

Tad Pospisil

After a successful year chasing the Rookie-of-the-year honors in the MLRA in 2016, Pospisil returned to the fold in 2017 and competed in the Malvern Bank Series, weekly at I-80 Speedway in NASCAR Super Late Models and in effect also the Gail’s Gold Rush. The results were nothing less than spectacular.

Pospisil dethroned Kyle Berck as the Malvern Bank Series Champion, won the I-80 Speedway weekly Super Late Model Championship and in effect the Nebraska State NASCAR Championship and to finish things off he also won the inaugural Gail’s Gold Rush.

Pospisil started his racing career at the age of eight in go-karts and by the end of his ten year go-kart career he was a three time National Champion. He moved to late models after graduating from high school. After struggling for some time, he got rolling in 2011 by posting a co-championship at the Boone County Speedway in 2011 and then in 2012 he posted 13 wins. He was also the SLMR Rookie of the Year.

In 2013 he became a contender in the SLMR and posted his first of three straight runner-ups in the SLMR points battle, barely losing the championship in 2015 to Kyle Berck. In 2016, his primary goal was the MLRA where he posted Rookie-of-the-Year honors.
